2009 13U "AA"' State Champions!!!
Congratulations to all the Spartan players for winning the 2009 13U "AA" State Championship.
After losing to the Canton Cardinals in the first game of the tournament the team went on to win five straight games as the
lone wildcard team in the championship round. They defeated the Diamonds Grandville team in the Championship Game 3-2.
Highlights of the tournament included a perfect game pitched by Jonah Kolosso, a complete game victory by Jeremy Ortman
in the semi-final game, and a complete game victory by Griffin McDonald in the championship game. Outstanding defense
prevailed throughout the tournament. All of the boys made great contributions for a complete team victory.
Coach Scott wishes to thank the boys for giving him the State Championship in the final game of his coaching career!
Congratulations to all the boys for winning
the 2009 Brighton Tournament. They defeated the Saline Slam 11-1 in the Championship Game. It was truly a team
effort with great hitting, pitching, and defense. Way to go!!
Welcome to the home of the Great Lakes Spartans. Organized
in the fall of 2005, we are a competitive youth baseball team comprised of thirteen year olds from Bedford Township and surrounding
areas. We play in the NWOABL league as well as several regional tournaments and stress baseball fundamentals, discipline,
teamwork, and sportsmanship.
